Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Isn't that great with so many mistreated pets out there? You are doing something to be proud of and not failing at all. Best wishes to you and your dog.

not sure if you saw my thread from earlier today on the reg depression board but anyway to sum up I was saying how I hate these ups and downs... how many times lately I have had a set date to die and then something will give me a glimmer of hope and then the date will pass and then everything turns to shit again and it ALWAYS happens... I am so emotionally drained... I feel like I haven;t even had a chance to really mourn my mom because there has just been one thing after another...
anyway I know what it is like to feel cursed... I believe I am... I think it isn't even statistically possible for so many things to go wrong and yet everything for me does...
Still feeling like crap, still low but thank you all for caring.
I am sending out good vibes for good news at his 3:30 appointment.
I hope you feel better soon; I hope your dog does, also.
What's your dog's name?

I am sorry you are so down on yourself...I do understand it, though, as I tend to be much the same. I shoulder blame for things that have nothing to even do with me. I get it.
All I can suggest is to maybe sit and talk it out with someone you love. Sometimes, hearing from a person you trust, that you are not a failure, and are not to blame for the things you accept blame for, is enough to clear the perspective a little.
I hope that the vet is able to help your dog. I am sure the dog's illness is not something that you had any control over. Please try hard to understand and accept that. Will your vet maybe offer you a payment plan, so you don't have to break the bank at this visit? It's worth asking I guess.
You will be in my thoughts, and I hope you'll continue to reach out for the support you need and deserve. Big hugs.xxxxxxxxx
Sleep well, Obeylix, you have taken very good care of your dog. We are all here to support you, whenever you need us.
