Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
He has been my ex for about 14-15 yrs. he broke up with me one day before our anniversary.
My parents and I were talking about him last night. He was such a jerk to me. But it didn’t stop me from loving him.
There were things he’d say to me that was down right scary. We’d get into screaming matches.
He started really scaring me later on in the relationship. After every screaming match he’d say at least I don’t hit you like my dad hit my mom.
To me that sounds like just wait till we get married.
His plan was to take me to North Carolina. And make my parents come to me if they wanted to see me. I don’t think he would have ever let me see my family again.
He said stuff to my parents in front of me like you are lucky I am willing to marry your daughter. I have a bachelor degree and she only has a GED.
I don’t remember him saying stuff like that. But I was completely blind when it came to him.
I met him online when I was 15 and he was 21. We were what I thought were friends for 6 yrs. I emailed him and told him that I loved him.
I had no idea who he really was. His pastor told him that if he ever hit me I’d kick his a**. I told him if he ever hit me I’d knock him into the next century.
To me what he did was worse than hitting me. Outside bruises heal but the ones on the inside take forever to heal and I don’t think they ever heal all the way.
I still love him. But I would, could, never take him back. Love is blind but not stupid.
