Everyone else in the house is angry because of things going on, and I feel unhappy because I want everyone to be happy. While I do that, I make things worse for myself. I need to stop thinking about what other people think and do for myself. But, then, I feel guilty if I ignore whats going on around me. And at this point, I really cant get into it, but these are situations that I have no control over, and I try not to worry about things I have no control over. Im so stressed and my family is not making it easier

It sounds like you are used to putting others before your own comfort. It's hard getting out of that practice, but practice is what it takes. It took practice to get INTO the habit, and it's easier to make a new habit than it is to break an old one. I know, I intended to go back to the gym today but I didn't make it. I'm even paying for something I'm not using and it's still hard to make the new habit. I give you credit for trying, for that's exactly what you need to do. It's just not easy.

You can't own everyone in the houses problems. They are just that, their problems. Go in your room and stay away from them until they get their act together.

hi trayann, it sounds like you're very sensitive to other people's feelings. that's not a bad thing.
