Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
My bf says "I'm here" then asks me to share what's upsetting me and hugs me, he then validates me saying I've been through a lot so it's understandable how I feel. And then the upset passes and we go off and do something nice together.
It's not nice to be around people incapable of kindness and caring. Unfortunately many people have said to me that "going on" about painful things is boring and alienates people.
Even to the point people dying of cancer are ridiculed for going on and on about the cancer, and a wife taking the piss out of her husband for repeatedly get upset over being raped
I myself have had a knot of pain I couldn't get rid of and my aunt came up to me and said just "put it in a box and forget about it"
Therapy from the government involved going to a therapist who ignored me for an hour...
