Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I know two people who have had ECT. One person I was in hospital with, and the other I work with. My co-worker wishes she'd never had it done. As for the person I was in hospital with, seeing them literally scared me away from even considering it.
The best thing to do is research it, talk to your pdoc, therapist, etc., and get as much information as you can.

Most of the patients are really happy they have done it. Something that I may consider myself since nothing else seems to be working for me. The memory loss scares me a little bit, but then there are so many blank spots in my memory now as it is, so not sure it would make much difference.
Personal decision, only you can make it. And if seriously considering, or even just for interest, you should be able to contact the hospital and see the treatment room, and watch the little video that they have on it.
