Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Pushing through every day is where I found my appreciation because of how much pushing through I’ve done. Psyched myself into it & rewiring the motion has been my task lately. Have a great day! & I know you’ll find a way too!
The only thing that has helped me, is that I work and save enough to leave a job and take time off without having to work for a few months. Then I get an entry level job that's relatively low stress for me, and then head back into my field where I have some education, save money, leave, take time off and start the cycle again.
It doesn't make for the best resume, but I do my best to leave every job on good terms.
but, like you I have never been able to work full time. I can't do it without literally needing inpatient care.
When I was younger, I worked 84 hours a week and studied a university course after work. I persisted for approx 3-4 yrs before I collapsed with a serious illness because I placed so much stress (physically and mentally) on myself.
When you grow older, you would need to listen to your body, and set up a timetable for yourself to rest and to work. Otherwise, it would not be helpful to give your all in your job and forgo relaxation after work, only to find yourself with a serious illness/injury.
Many people suffer a variety of illnesses that cause fatigue e.g chronic fatigue syndrome, autoimmune disease, cancer, heart disease, diabetes etc..
It is very abnormal to feel that tired as you have, which suggests that you have some abnormalities that need to be checked out.
Enough said! Please see a doctor, and best wishes.
