Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I think maybe you should consider more advanced treatments and seek other solutions out there besides antidepressants.
Feeling well actually isn't a bad thing. A lot of people are afraid of change but if the change is beneficial to you spiritually, physically, and emotionally... I would say try embracing it. You dont want to feel bad all the time so you can try embracing it and seeing where it takes you. Because feeling good isn't a bad thing most of the time.
Try to embrace it. If that doesn't work, I suggest seeking treatment or therapy to learn how to deal with your feelings and emotions, to help organize them.
But we DO deserve them, and we don't get as many of them as we deserve!
I agree with the others, explore these feelings in therapy.

When I started dealing with what was behind my depression and gad I have found stuff and emotions I didn't know how to deal with (thus the depression). I don't know how far back depression goes for me. I think when I was having success in something I felt good about myself. When I graduated from college the rules changed and then I didn't know who I need to keep happy and the spiral down began. However there was periods of depression in my childhood as well. EA has helped me along with Adult Children of Alcoholics. www.stepchat.com I hope that you are able to get some help to talk through things along with the medication. I have found this to be necessary for my treatment.
I have been seeing a psychiatrist for the last 10 years and he knows about these thoughts,, but he doesnt know yet that I have them back again...I see him on thursday, so will tell him then...then he will probably want me to take more seoquel or some other med..I am just so mixed up and I dont know what to do.
What has helped me lately is EMDR therapy, and spending time reading God's promises in the Bible. He says in His Word, that he has plans to prosper us, not to harm us, plans to give us a hope, and a bright future. Our job, is just to believe in it.
God Bless you my dear friend!
