Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

While it is true that emotionally/mentally unhealthy individuals tend to find themselves in unhealthy relationships, the converse is also true.
That emotionally/mentally healthy individuals tend to find themselves in healthy, happy relationships.
Spend this time getting healthier, stronger. And because "like attracts like", once you love yourself, you will find someone who also loves you.
I am not familiar with much of P!nk's discography, but if I were to pick a theme song, it would be "F*cking Perfect".
Yes, of course this may be difficult. You are working to change your behaviors. Every successfully recovered "addict" has worked hard to change their behavior. The alcoholic who no longer listens to "boy, I sure could use a drink right now". The drug addict who no longer listens to "man, I wanna get high". The sex addict that doesn't turn to porn and sex when the voice calls out. Every one!
I am the recovered alcoholic who was "hard-wired" to pick up a drink in reaction to EVERYTHING. But during recovery, I learned to stop reacting to the voices. That was 16 years ago. It took a year or two, put after some time diligently working to change the voices and my resulting behaviors, the voices stopped pulling me down and started to lift me up.
A wonderful and every effective way to shut down the voices is to find achievements in your life to celebrate your strengths and "good" points. One of the greatest improvements to my self esteem and self worth came when I started exercising and working out. When a niggling doubt about my self worth came around, I would reply "OK, maybe I can't to that (yet), but I CAN bench press 120lbs and I CAN run a 8.5 minute mile, so there!" I was so confident, I was able to ask for a promotion at work. And got it! For the first time in my life, I had the confidence to ask for what I wanted, knowing that I fully deserved it and was ready to "take" what was mine. The stronger I got physically, the stronger my self worth and self esteem became. And I was a 232lb, 53 year old menopausal women when I started this transformation.
If you can't or don't find achievement in physical accomplishment, find any venue in which to excel. Educational/intellectual, spiritual, volunteering, mentoring, arts, etc. Keep feeding your self esteem with accomplishments and the negative voices with have absolutely nothing to say to you. In turn, you will KNOW you are deserving of better.
