Aw, I am so sorry.
Losing a dog, our pets... Can be like losing a kid or a family member. Non animal lovers will never understand it.

My precious poodle died suddenly of congestive heart failure in September 2017. I just can't seem to get over it. I see her everywhere in the house and outside. She was like a child to me. I had taken her to the vet weeks before for a cough and told him her cough was like a person with CHF. But he didn't think it was necessary to do a chest x-ray? If he had he would have seen that her lungs were filling up. Something could have been done at that point to save her. A few weeks later she died at the emergency clinic with pulmonary edema. Her lungs were half full of fluid. Not only am I sad but angry. Angry at the vet and myself because I'm a nurse and should have been more aggressive in seeking help. I still struggle with depression. Thanks for letting me vent.

Well a couple of months ago he was diagnosed with congestive heart failure, given meds, the vet said he he could survive a good while on these meds, so his mood was back up and everything then around 5 this morning while im at work, I get a call from my mom saying we're putting him down, he had cancer on top of his heart, a blood clot in his heart, and one of his lungs was completely full of fluid and couldn't breath and couldn't sit or lay down so the tried to wait for me since I get off at 8am but 15 minutes before they made the call

I’m so sorry for your loss. Keep your dog’s spirit alive in your memories and in your heart. Hopefully we will all be re-united with our beloved pets after we die.

I am very sorry for your loss-- last Monday, within fewer than 12 hours, our cat went into cardiac arrest and acute renal failure and had to be put to sleep. I couldn't be there to say goodbye either. So I am feeling your pain right now.

I'm so so sorry. Had to put one down a couple of years ago. It's so very painful. She had helped me through some horrible times too. Be thinking about you. Blessings.
