Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
But are you going to therapy? whats your situation? Do you have support in what your going through?
Situation? Not really sure what you mean by that. severely abused as a child (which most of I hadn't remembered until the past 2 years), so struggling through memories, DID,
Support? ya, a little.
It's just so hard. And there doesn't seem to be an end. And I just don't want to do it all anymore.
You are not alone. Have faith in the belief that you will get through this difficult time of your life. It may seem like you are in a dark tunnel, but keep your eyes open because there is light coming at the end of the tunnel. Although it is hard to do, try to focus on the smallest positive thing in your life. FInd something in your life that you can be thankful for. Keep focusing on the small, little things that are positive and hopefully you can see that there are many positive things in your life that you are thankful for.
Remember, tough times never last......and this too shall pass.
So yes it can get better for you too. But there will always be ups and downs. For me a life without challenges would be too boring. So through the the years I've learned I can find positives even when things are very hard and tragic. I hope you can find balance in your life. And may the challenges be only as hard as you can stand. Please if you find yourself being overwhelmed, find help. Please try very hard to learn the lessons in lifes ups and downs. Finally I hope you can reach a place where happiness is dominant. If you can do that, then please let me know how it can be done. I'm still working on that one. ((( Hugs )))
Im not sure on the DID but I know of others on here that have that..Is there a group here for DID?
for me, it was the right medications and a year of therapy.
