Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Call as many as you can, level with them about your insurance coverage and how much you can afford to pay, and ask if there is something that can be done to lower your co-pay.
Don't feel like you have to apologize to them.
Also, if you are seeing a doctor within a larger hospital system, they have programs such as charity care. The program assists low income patients with either free, or reduced rates for medical bills. It's not a program you have to apply for through the government, you simply ask the hospital if they have the program and then you fill out some paperwork. I've gotten it in the past and it really helped.
