Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
There are so many options, including adding a medication that works alongside your current med.
I'm going to keep going until I find the right combination. It's worth it. You are worth it.
We tried a few other anti-depressants and they didn't work, so I just gave up. Reading back over my journal for the last couple of years, I realize that I haven't really been totally alive (or even much interested in being alive at all in spite of having a pretty decent life) for a long time, so maybe it's time to look into one again.
With the health system in such a state of insane flux, I have been reluctant to get started on ANY more drugs, for ANY reason, but I might make an exception.
My adult son and I are chemically alike in many ways, and he had a really positive response to Cymbalta, so I'm wondering if I ought to try that. Has anybody else had experience with it?
You have to keep trying, don't give up!
