Hello everyone
Well ive been here for a few weeks and have decided that i should at least post this so i can try and get some of the things out of my head as just keeping them in there is certainly not helping me out at all...
So how do you get an ex out of your head....
Now a little back story...
We dated for about 2 years, but due to age differences, outside influences, and children (she wanted and i couldn't anymore), and a few other issues, we ended it pretty amicably. The only thing is this was almost 7 years ago.
Afterwards I was in another relationship for 5 years and during that time I learned alot about myself and also knew that the other was never out of my mind completely. I would occasionally check facebook or other sites every 4-5 months. Finally after a couple of really rocky years I ended it.
Fast foward to a month ago, i signed up on a site and found her profile (by complete accident) after not doing anything about her for almost a year. She sent me a quick email saying hello and seeing how I was doing. BAMM!!!! There i was head over heals in love all over again. Having dreams of getting marriage licenses, or her leaving me. I know that she is single again and just not sure if i should say something about it or just go on pretending that everything is fine..
So now a few weeks have past...
I still cannot get this person out of my head, regardless if i am awake or sleeping.. she is always there.. We had some good conversation last night and now she's going on a date with someone, so I tried to do the right thing and not bring my feelings up with her yet.. But deep down inside it is doing nothing but crushing me an I just dont know how I am going to deal with this...
She said that she wants to come over and see my oldest boy graduate in a few weeks.. And that my boys still have a special place in her heart and she still loves them, so why cant I tell her that she has the same spot and love in my heart... Of course I said that she could but I think its more of the fact that I want her to come over, just so that I can see her... Is this a bad thing????????
I dont know, im just lost as to if I should just come out and say something to her or not... Like I said if she is happy with this other person and i really care for her should i just allow her to be happy and me not, or to say something and possibly ruin anything they have...
I know the kid issue is no longer an issue as she has some of her own kids now, which i can almost assuredly say that I would love them as much as I do my own...
So if anyone has any ideas on how to handle this please feel free to comment or send message or something...

damm! What the hell is a mater with ppl?
You can always turn the tables and ask her where this is going. I know, the question is usually a woman's domain but it will leave you an out to save face before professing your love for her.

You said that both agree to end the relationship in good term. A question I have if you both decided to end the relationship, is your desire based on wanting what you couldn't keep?
If you are now in a good relationship don't throw it way. Remember They don't miss you when you're gone. They miss you when you've moved on.
I empathize with you because I something thing about one ex- but my life now is good keeping in mind depression.

I do want to say thank you all for your advice though....
So I guess ill just have to try and figure it out on my own... Like i said earlier if thats where she is and is happy, I'm not going to try and ruin it now, i had decided that yes tommorow i was going to tell her that we need to grab a coffee and was planning on telling her all of this.. but now i'll just have to see if it does last...
Is it bad that im hoping it doesnt?? sorry a little selfish feeling there...

Not saying this is what is happening with you at all because it seems like the kid issue was the major problem for you guys...Just maybe leave it as a nice memory to have and if its meant to be, it will be.
