My depression has been kicking my ass lately. I have woken up miserbale and it stays that way all day. And thats been happening everyday for at least a week. I havent seen a therapist in a few months. And today Chester Bennington commited suicide. When i was in high school they came out and ive been a fan since. It's not enough that i was a fan. He seemingly had everything. Money, Fame and fans who loved him. I keep thinking if a celebrity with everything to live for commits suicide what chance do i have.

I'm sorry you are struggling with depression right now. Would you consider going back to therapy?

Chester Bennington's death is tragic and I can completely understand where you're coming from. I think that his death shows that mental illness knows no boundaries. You can be wealthy and famous or poor and unknown and still suffer just the same. That's why it's so important to speak your truth and get help before things get out of hand. Any loss to suicide is tragic no matter who that person was....please consider getting help now.

I'm so sorry I too am hurt by the passing of Chester, his music helped me in the worst times as a teenager. Not many people understand how feeling alone in our heads really affects us. All the money fame is not enough. I hope you overcome this and stay strong

You are a worthy person who deserves to live a happy life. You should consider going back to your therapist. You may want to consider going to a psychiatrist to see if you also need medication.

I just found a place to get help. I have an intake on Monday. I am on medicine currently. As you all know the medicine doesn't always work. Thank you all for kind words.

More of a chance than Chester, you’re still alive! Because of my job in public safety, I’ve had many times where events and things would pile up or pop up later on in life. I don’t know this for sure, it’s pure speculation, but I think everyone has thought about suicide; I have. But I chose to get help, you mentioned seeing a therapist, what’s stopping you from calling or going in?

We’re all people, suffering from the same pressures and life events that knock us down. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying I know you or what you’re going through outside of what you wrote, and I know, some people are prone to certain illnesses etc., but Chester Bennington and many other celebrities who have committed suicide were suffering and chose not to get help. Reach a litter further and get help, my life is so much better, I used to think getting mental help was a weakness and ridiculous…not any more.
