Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

I am currently taking baby steps toward a healthier life style. making one to two changes a week. last week I started eating breakfast(cereal) before work and taking lunch(sammich). I used to skip breakfast and munch on chips from the vending machine. I started cooking for myself rather than getting a frozen pizza or eating out. I'll admit that I went for Chinese last night, but I haven't had it for ages and i bought the healthy part...salmon sushi mmmmm. This week i am thinking about starting to walk around my apt complex and thanks to GPS I mapped the route. One time around my complex is equal to mile. I can't run at all! 10 strides and i am gagging, but I could walk 100 miles if i had to. I'll start off with one mile this week and up it 1 mile every week until I am up to 5miles. That shouldn't be hard at all. after that i am going to start to quit drinking. I have slowed down immensely since last year, but I want to QUIT FOR GOOD! not sure how I will do that, but if any one has ideas, i am open.
Thanks for this post, mate! I'd like to hear what others do for healthy choices and what your research finds :)
