Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
i say this not to make you feel guilty but to expand your understanding. Whey you say 'no 15 yr old should have to...' I squirm. You have to do what you have to do. There's no "should" about it. There's no such thing as 'should'.
You just have to get through each day. i know it's stressful, frustrating and lonely. And you've also still got to get over mum's behaviour. And you're probably at school, and you're doing this alone.
I put it to you maybe you're not as alone as you feel. Have you talked to your father about this situation? A mother's role in the family is mostly to make others do the work; if you have the mother's role, do you not then have the right to make others work? You need to have that conversation.
If you can't get any joy, then maybe there is an auntie or uncle you can go live with.
Have you talked to the school counsellor about your options?
