Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

Your friend keeps contacting you and addressing the issues that she is having with you only because she loves you and probably wants to know how she can help you.
I've had depression for a very long time and from my experience it is have those that love you around you when you are having a tough time. Maybe your friend doesn't listen as well as your boyfriend, but if she loves you as much as I suspect that she does, she will listen to your suggestions as to how she can help you the best way and that may start to mend your friendship.
Pushing those that love you away during times when you are low is never a good idea. You need as much love and support as you can take at this juncture despite the fact that it feels exactly like the opposite that you want.
I wish you the best and please let those that love you into your life so that you can try to feel your best even when you may not be in the best of mood.
Blu, I think you need to be upfront about what you want from your friend. If you can't tell her, or don't feel you can trust her enough to be honest, then she's probably not that good of a friend. Friends can't read minds, but if she really is caring for you, she will hear you.
Remember, just because someone acts as if they not hearing you, does not mean they didn't process your words. Get the message out there instead of talking about it on DS. Don't take that the wrong way, I Love DS and all, but this one seems like a no brainer.
I'm sorry you are depressed. I feel that way all the time. Like right now!
Best Wishes, Sofie
maybe she finds it hard to cope with your depression?
what you say about your boyfriend,i can relate to a little.when im feeling at my lowest the only one person i really can tolerate around me is my mum,i spose its cos she knows me so well and doesnt hassle me and knows when i truly do need to be left alone.
dont withdraw too much from people though, because it can be very hard to get back into society when you have been isolated for a long time

Otherwise...very sorry that you're so down lately. I totally get only wanting to be around your boyfriend because he understands. Perhaps try forcing yourself to go out and do things with him though? Try something silly and fun, not a romantic dinner or anything. Just something that can make you laugh and keep you out in the world in a non-threatening way.
Either way, I do hope that this passes for you soon
