I understand that we all diferent and we all have each important thing in life to do. I'm training for the marathon for children's hospital and will be running 9 miles this week. It is so hard to ask people to support me financially. I never ask friends for money or borrow. I try to open minded
For any excuses but it is so very sad even my best friends who I just asked for $20 has turn down my request. I train on my own
O and 100% go to chairity. I came from another country and dont have many friends in the us. The money I got and comming

Country. I'm so frudstraded and very disappoint. I trained with my pain
But I know I could not expect other people to giving like me. I don't have much but I will donate and help people as much as I can. I am so depress, never give up but I never though I am in this

Either they don't HAVE $ to give or they don't WANT to give $. Either way, yes, that is depressing.

I don't understand why we can simply show up and run! We gotta be salespeople too? Aren't there non-profit organizations who have committees of very talented and persuasive tug-at-the-heartstrings telemarketers who call companies and rich individuals to sponsor the whole bloody thing? Asking people like yourself to go door-to-door asking for $10-$20 seems tedious and non-productive.

Either way, sounds like a good (WONDERFUL) cause. Best of success to you.

Thanks you for the reply. I agree, I wish all the companies that have ability to donate line their names on the Charity chart looking for a messenger like me. I was so sad that day because I knew t is not my business at all to judge people who want to donate or not by their action. After I took or the facts their reasons not to donate whatsoever it was left over in my heart is i just "Life." Everybody do their own thing how ever they want and nothing wrong with that. I see it clearly nothing I can do about it and I had to picked myself up and move on the next day. I am okay now and will ran 10 miles next Saturday. My new strategy is I am good at doing cake pops so I just use my ability to help myself. I am running for St. Jude Children Hospital so I'm making holiday theme and 100% of all go to my fund raising. I will do my best and forget the rest. Thanks again, hope you understand my English!

what you can do is to approach companies and ask them to sponsor something money or other things toys or somethimg the hospital needs and in return you will run with a shirt that has the companies name and logo on it. i live in south africa and alot of companies in our country is always willing to do something like this as this is good publicity for them and they also helping so think about this

i hope you are successful in your cause it great to help a charity. im also busy planning something for children homes.
