Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I don't understand the problem getting a driver's license, but there are many who function without one .. and do not drive. There is such a thing as a State Identification Card for people who don't or cannot drive.
instead of complaining - direct your energy, man - you can do it!

Sandi is right, you have an intellect that will create a world for yourself in accord with what you see and think. The world is full of beauty and joy, and pain and injustice. The things that you focus on will flourish in your life. It takes time, but life does work that way.
Right where you are now, you can meditate, use positive affirmations, read things that teach your mind to be more healthy, watch inspiring movies, go for walks and notice the beauty of the earth and sky (not the people and things that seem wrong to you). If you meet people who are worse off than yourself, be grateful for what you have and offer a kind word, even just a smile. You will be improving the world and it will begin to make you feel better.
I know the things I'm describing for you to do seem false when you're so depressed, they do at times to me too, but if you want to feel better you have to do it and keep doing it anyway. In time the good thoughts will come naturally and feel sincere.
Maybe right now you really just want some sympathy. Nothing wrong with that, and I can empathize with your situation; it sounds pretty difficult and frustrating to me. But what I am saying is that if you want your life to change you have to begin with changing your mind, training your mind to see and expect goodness.
Listing everything that makes you depressed will only help you to focus on the negative if your thoughts stop there. Take that list and for each item, make another list of all the ways you might possibly look at the situation. Might you feel compassion for your brother? Sounds like he isn't too happy either. Might you learn to keep a positive attitude and be a good influence on him? There is always something positive if you look hard enough.
I hope you feel better, but honestly I doubt you will until you want it badly enough to put effort into it, maybe a lot of effort. Bottom line, a lot of times there is nothing we can change about circumstances or other people, but we can change ourselves, so that is really the only way to create a life that you want to live.
