Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
oh and really, I think your husband is a tiny bit out of line saying that you shouldn't go to the hospital...why not...
I went in for my first 'big' headache when I was 17, thought it was a migraine but it's really a pinched nerve (have you tried a chiro by the way? I thought I was losing my mind until I saw one).
Either way, I hope that you feel loads better very soon. Gentle healing hugs to ya
I had to stop taking meds because they were making me worse. To the point where I couldn't do the normal daily activities and I was dizzy all of the time. Everybody is different so consult with your doctor first. Here is what I do for treatment with headaches:
Taking Magnesium, vitamin B6, can be used to relax muscles, boost metabolism and act as an antidepressant, respectively. I also take Vitamin C. Placing the feet in very hot water and applying ice to the head or back of the neck helps relieve muscular tension. Stretching, deep breathing. Drink plenty of water. Pinching the skin on the upper bridge of your nose, between your eyes, with your thumb and finger. Apply pressure, massage, see if it helps relieve tension. I hope you end up feeling better soon!
