Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

I like my safety far too much.
Don't get like me.
We're all enchained by our own ideas. We need to realise we're just brains in vats. The reality we create is the one we get. Make the one you want. After being raised by a realist I have become relativist. reality is 100% subjective and who can stop me from believing it?
Nobody. Nobody can stop me at all. I CREATE the world I live in.
So work out what reality you want, and go get it. You're writing this novel you're in. You're creating your own future.
But.... there is hope. I cling to my inner child to support and guide me. In other words I find a place in my heart where I'm not so hard on myself. I try to take my own advice, you know, what I would tell someone else to do. I'm very good at that! lol. Really just kidding! But there are buckets of truth in that revelation. Giving advice is so easy to do, but oh so hard to take.
When all thoughts are horrendous ones, how about we just hang in there? Sit on our hands, so to speak. Give our thoughts and feelings a chance to settle. Give ourselves time. And, if possible, learn to love ourselves.
Now ... chin up! You are worthy.
