Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Well, the first thing that comes to mind is, if you do wig out on the fact that you haven't heard from her for many hours, that you may push her away. Starting with a slow and steady friendship is probably the best way to go. You have to build that strong foundation to build a relationship. If you hurry something, it's as if that foundation is built on sand and it will not withstand the things that may come along.
How long have you known this gal? I see you said you have only been on a few dates . Has she said anything to you about your wanting to be together all of the time? I will tell you that can scare many people. I'm sure it isn't the case with you, but that can be a sign of possesivness and although it may be innocent from you, she may not know that.
All I can say is back off, just take the times you do get a chance to go out and/or talk, get to know each other well, then make that leap if you are both in the same place (mentally, emotionally and physically).
I also notice you say trying to start dating again...how long has it been since your last relationship?
Well, my best to you and I will check back on this post in awhile :)
Can not hurry a relationship.
