Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Well I too feel like I’ve lost myself somewhere.
I know what I used to be but now am so lost in my states of depression/anxiety etc.
I guess it’s the new me but not sure what that is yet? All I know is I’m a work in progress....
Right now i have hung up the teachers aid and interventionist hats. So i am not currently those but someday i hope to have my dream job back. and i will wear those hats again.
Froggie you actually answered the question. Cool and thank you.
I am not one thing either.......I was a lot of things. Life is a a lot easier when you have mother in your title. I used to be able to be a fighter and a survivor when I had to for my child. Curious what is an interventionist? I can never get my hats back no matter what I do.
My question was more of who are you when all your titles are gone. At your core what makes you worthy.....worthwhile .....what gives you the strength to get out of bed in the morning. Please nothing religious though.
(If covid never leaves. And if we dont get a secretary of education that is going to help public schools then i will never get those hats back.)
And I feel like sometimes I just stay super busy so I don't have to think about it, about anything, too deeply.
Constant pain, deep depression and being on so many meds that make me dizzy and drowsy has totally messed with my mood, speech and concentration. Many deaths of loved ones & friends plus stressors from people has left me feeling lonely, betrayed & broken.
I do know your pain for it shreds my heart. I wish I had the answer to a remedy for our states of mind so people like us no longer dread each day the sun comes up & the yet another nightmare begins to live out another day.
