Confusing Words-I Love vs. I Care For You

Have you ever been confused with the statement: " I Love You! "
versus " I Care About You ! " I have found in my life a person will
say, " I Love You ! " to me when truly they don't love, they just care!
I have found these types of relationships to be painful! When I go into
a relationship, I give my whole heart, and further in the relationship
I find that the other person only cares! Has this ever happened to
any one of you?

To me "Caring IS Love"
The word "Love" has so many different levels.

We can "Love" a TV show Or A certain type of Cookie :-)

And when it comes to relationships there are many different levels of Love. I LOVE my kids more that life itself. I LOVE my husband with my whole being. I Love My Boss because he's just awesome :-) There are many people here that I Absolutely LOVE!
And yet, I've never met them.

When someone tells you that they Love you.........It's always a good thing.

The word "love" has a lot of connotations for people. I agree with Wally in that I feel like caring is love. But I feel like when you say you love someone... that's taken as the highest form of caring. I don't tell people I love them unless I really, truly, deeply care about them because of how much meaning is behind that word for people. Sometimes I'll tell people I care because I think the word "love" will scare them or that they'll take it out of context.

Like Wally said, there are different levels of love. It's a rather confusing topic. But love is always good.

this hasn't happened to me. i think that i may have done this to my daughters father. i never really loved him, but i cared about him. he gave his whole heart. so, yes, theres a difference.

maybe, you should not give as much in the future if you have a tendency to do so. some people are like that, they give and give, and wind up having nothing left for themselves, wind up getting used. save it for the few in your life who truly fo love you. who would take you in if you had no where to live or who would die for you. be careful. it's good to protect yourself. from the opposite sex if you're straight, but even from friends. i don't mean to sound harsh, but you asked. hug.
