Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

Depression is such a hard thing to deal with especially when you're adjusting to a
new job. Are you able to enjoy anything right now or find moments of relief?
It takes a lot of energy to adapt. When you're feeling OK, what do you like to do?
I'm having a lot of trouble at my job (I've been there for over two years and it's really not a good job for me). I'm having a rough night tonight, but I try to find moments of
happiness and peace when I am not there.
Some nights I just come home and cry.
I would guess that your anxiety is normal and we all have self doubts when learning something new.
Hoping that you'll soon feel more confident and less anxious.
Hugs.
1. Exercise - I will tell you that for 32 yrs straight beginning at 19 I was a jogger/runner and I worked out cause I built a gym in my garage at 25. I've never stopped for very long and I've not suffered sever depression but for 3 Short years whrn I had to have 4 major Orthopedic sorgeries, noe I'm back walk, running again at 66 yrs. young.. I also began meds for depression 20 yrs ago with little increase adjustments.
I know for a fact that exercise directly improves quality of life in a runner/ exercise person who has depressive bouts. Also, the proper depress meds are a great stabilizer.
Things like ber, alcohol, marijuana, cigarette smoking and opiods and some other meds can send you doin spiriling in to a tail spin in an instant if you have depression. Bive been fortunate because I managed to aboid all the negative controls in life.finally... foods can bring on depression. And your environment. It may seem like a good thing to hang with someone who also suffers from depression but actually it's a downer as well.
The only thing that will cause all the above directions NOT to help you us if you suffer from severe depression. You probably figured out that each of us suffers from a varied degree of depression. There are probably as many levels of depression as there are ppl. Who suffer from it.. So that's why depression is one of those difficult medical problems to treat.
} try exercise, meds prescribed by a physician and definitely get off if any negative stimulants that are in your daily lifestyle. Is it worth living foe, try it and see just how freeing it can be. I fully enjoy life but if I'm down with ailments for more than a day, I begin to feel the elements gradually seeking in again. Best wishes and I'm God's love, larry
Yes depression can make it hard to enjoy life but certainly not impossible! I read that you invest in yourself with exercise, RX, you do not take drugs, or consume alcohol, are attending social events, read, draw, listen to music, photography, watching movies, hanging out with friends...WOW! Good job!
What does life look like for you when you feel you are fine?
