Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Can you please sort of clarify your problem for me.
From what I can gather, you have student loans that you can't pay.
You are unemployed.
So, I don't know anything else.
Did you graduate from college?
Bankruptcy is one option, but please think long and hard before doing that. A bankruptcy stays on your credit record for a very long time, and can make it very hard to get a loan even when you do get a job and have a good income history.
Talk to the bank or who ever you owe money to and level with them. They know that they can not get money where there is none. (Who knows, they may be able to steer you to a source of decent employment.)
Be careful of those companies that say they can get your loans reduced or even forgiven without bankruptcy. They are often con artists who are looking to get that last ounce of money out of people.
Gentle hugs, and keep looking for work.
I guess I just needed to vent because I don't really feel like anyone out there in this world really cares about me. This just adds to the frustration of being out of work. I'm always just left to wonder what am I doing wrong? Why has all my hard work lead me to know where?
The economy sucks right now, you are not the only good person who is having trouble finding work.
Gentle hugs
I was told as long as I didn't have taxable income I didn't have to pay. My doctor has filled out a form trying to get my loans removed. Keep trying. Apply on line. Call them at the 800 number. Keep calling the number you called until you get someone different. This is not right, not right at all.
I have been where you are, I hope you get your home situation taken care of.
