It's Christmas day and all I can think about is my son in the hospital. I feel like I have failed him somehow. I don't deserve to be their mother. All I want is to just die. I want to disappear so they will have a better life.

the fact that you feel so upset and fustrated by the fact that your baby is in the hospital just proves that you care and treasure him so much, which is all a child wants of their parents (i know from personal experience how much that means) however if you decide to take your life, imagine how your son will feel. he is in the hospital and his own mother has decided to take her own life too, that will totally destroy him and his hope. you need to be there for you son, as much as it pains you and to be honest, your son will truly prefer that you are in his live, rather than about the fact that it is christmas day. as long as you are there by his side, he will recover and there will be always be another a christmas day. but it is not about the day, anyday could be christmas day, its about the memories and laughter that occcur on those days, that is what your son will hold onto when he is in hospital x
