Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
It'll pass soon enough. Enjoy.
I see kids waiting for the bell to ring and my child is moving around in school wasting her time even after the school is not having any crowd.
Someone just told me ...she may be going through a disorder and this is making me tensed.
(First day of preschool, my daughter ran right in and didn't even say goodbye. Meanwhile all the other kids are crying and clinging to their parents. I went to the grocery store and cried. Where I ran into another parent who calmed me down.)
You can drive yourself crazy (all parents do a little bit) comparing your child to anyone else's.
Push it all aside. I like to put it this way: Kids are far to expensive not to love every second that you can with them. (Because trust me, you won't love them all.)
So what to do? Get down on the floor and play ponies with her, or babies, or whatever she likes. Pretend to be frogs together. Read books until you both have them memorized. Color. Take a nap together.
Next year it will be all different. What seems to last forever...won't.
