Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

Where would I be if not here at this right time? Yup, you know it! I'd be earning my living. It was upsetting to find out immediately that my store manager had given my workday on Saturday to a new hire.
Not only that, but last weekend was a HORRIBLE experience with not only a rude customer and coworker, but one person was sent to save the day (besides myself =). My safe was stuck; she fixed it. Won't mention names, but we know who she is.
And of course, negative experiences for a reaction can affect one's mental and emotional stability and overall performance. Shouldn't be experiencing negative experiences at work in what should be a safe workforce environment. I don't take it personally, but this can impact negatively, as it can affect my physiological needs along with my community resources. I'm not an irresponsible person, nor do I behave as such. I take my commitments seriously.
As we know, my life experiences will not keep me from serving the higher good when I'm of sound mind. I become highly skilled and unstoppable when I am clear and transparent.
And thank God I didn't let the behaviors and/or negative attitude from others put me down or keep me at a disadvantage, because I did not place myself in any danger, in a crisis, or checkin-in any hospital (a place to gather my strength).
It is Godly to show up for work... because it is Biblical. I don't have the heart for negativity or corruption, and that shouldn't even be happening at my workplace. As y'all know, I need to meet certain qualifications to meet the demands and needs of my community resources. It's vital. That was very savvy and selfish of SM. Many would say, and agree irresponsible of SM. On a good note, he said it was only for this Saturday.
I believe I've managed the bad news well in my own way. Well enough to become unstoppable with determination. I was so bummed out tho, but I didn't quit, because I'm not a quitter.
On the contrary, I managed to work with my store manager yesterday, knowing how I felt about him giving a new employee whom I've not even met, my hours/day.
SM has known I'm committed to working my weekends and hours with my work performance, and that I'm very optimistic and confident about my own good works. I don't disappoint, nor do I shame anyone.
SM knows I don't make anyone look bad, and on the contrary, no one is going to make me look bad or set me back from what God has ordained for me.
God gave me the job thanks to my own determination, along with the help of my community and reputable references.
Again, as previously mentioned, SM did say it was only for today and that he didn't change any schedule, which made a difference in communication.
The power of communication should never be underestimated.
I've always seen eye to eye with my bosses because I don't have the stamina to address issues unless I have to, but for the most part, there should not be any issues to address when they perform their job as expected.
They are to be looked up to, which builds strength with integrity on the job.
I've shown up to perform in the past, and everything is smoothly facilitated to run as expected (everyone complying with standards and ethics). What I want is what they want; we meet each other's needs.
Of course, I learned over the course of a lifetime (like an entrepreneur) that we need to be good stewards of our time, resources, and what we bring to the table, what we're been entrusted with.
Hence, it threw me off when SM said that I wasn't scheduled to work this Saturday.
He knows I need my employment, my days, and my hours (the package deal) to fulfill all other areas as I'm sorting things out with my divorce progress.
He's been going through his own divorce process on his end; he should know how chaotic it can get with legal fees and attorneys slacking.
He knows I'm not receiving spousal support and that I depend on my hours.
Even when no longer employed, that was after becoming a stay-at-home mom of three, I acquired such skills that helped navigate and manage my marriage and home, along with managing my affairs in God's Kingdom with the truth/the gospel truth.
My husband and I don't make it a habit of lying to get ahead in life, because I wouldn't cheat myself out of my own glory.
It reflects that my successful marriage is not a failed marriage; it's still active, thanks to my lifelong decisions. And even though I filed for divorce as a result of my husband's biggest mistake (he mistook me for someone else).
We're still legally married, just waiting on the divorce decree.
The point is, I still serve the higher good. I serve him in spirit and in truth, and to me, he's not just anyone (he was my everything, my world, my best friend).
Therefore, I dishonored none. He cannot meet my needs as intended at this time, and so, it's fair for me to let him go since he refused to live a dignified life next to me; he's been living a lie with his mistress.
Oh, but believe me, the pain is here with me, everything is here with me. I get to sit with it. I get to acknowledge the love and the pain, the anguish, the mourning feeling that doesn't heal on its own because I believed in us wholeheartedly. And we all have hopes, dreams, and expectations with this kind of love.
We call it visionary love.
The same applies to an employer and employee relationship; there's a level of trust and respect that needs to be met, acknowledged, and with common courtesy. Just like there are certain expectations that are to be met, respected, trusted, and honored (simultaneously).
You want your employers to take care of their employees so they can take care of the task at hand with customers/clients, not just in the area but throughout the community. We all have certain expectations of competency and consistency.
That's enough.
I'm here, and that's all that matters.
