Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I will do this. However, at this point, 11 years of teaching has been so much stress and drama I might be looking around. There is a book out there called, Confessions of a Bad Teacher. It is about some of what I am talking about here. The book cites the mass firing of teachers in certain schools and some of the impetus behind it.
Oh, next time a teacher yells at you, can't you file a complaint? Or hell, just cuss right back at her. Call her unprofessional butt. Like we try to teach the kids, most bullies back down when you call them on their BS.
The thing I remember from a live support group I belonged to was, "be honest, but don't be stupid". I mean, don't hurt yourself and give to much information. When you find yourself rattling on, stop, regroup and start over.
