Hi as the topic says I have been blacking out, slurring words and horrid memory loss.It's gotten so bad that I went to go to to my caregivers car and get my card holder cuz that's where I keep my important stuff, but it had fallen out of my purse or I didn't put it in one or the other.She had gone with me to put her groceries in the trunk. I really don't remember that, it's like I was missing part of my day, and I do that a lot. That's what I'm calling black out.
My slurring words together, just as it sounds I'm slurring my words together. I'm getting worse on that daily, it's starting to scare me. I'm wondering if it's because my doctor put me on benzotropine. To get rid of my side effects, but now I 'm getting them worse, only thing I don't do is shake. Slurring words I have to close my eyes really concentrate to be able to get the word out of my brain.
I appreciate that, but ireally need the rest to go away, the new ones.
Memory loss, I've been forgetting what I want to say I've been forgetting where I'm going. Even on the bus. I just turn into a robot, if that makes sense.I will get on the bus go all the way down town. Get off at the plaza. I only talk to one person there and it's a security guard.
I have also forgotten names, or what I want to say all the time. I've been forgetting my glasses, and i've been really good about wearing them.
Most importantly I've been forgetting to feed my animals, not to the point of starvation just I finally think to look.I'm getting really scared I go into my psychiatrist Feb 5......which is pretty close. Think I can put up with it for another few days.
My service dog it sensing it and not letting people to pet him ( good thing because when I'm not shaking or having memory loss I don't allow people to pet him at the the plaza ( or public transpertation ).He's been totally 100% cued into me. I'm proud of him for that
it's good you have an appointment coming up, but if that is the doctor that prescribed that medication that you suspect may be causing this to happen, is it possible to call the office and notify the doctor of these adverse affects. he or she might tweak the dose which might help to you get there. just a thought.

Please, contact your doctor and tell him/her everything you have posted. I consider this urgent.
I think it is medication prob. Because it started about a week after I started. I'm still stuttering. Which scares the crap outta me. I will tell my dr everything that has been going on. And my caregiver is gonna come in with me tomorrow to help.
