Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Try to find one thing--any thing--whether you've done it in the past or would like to try, that you find fulfilling. Doesn't matter how small could be a craft, walking dogs, playing an instrument, or watching and writing about a certain genre of movies. Anything really. Even if it won't make you rich, famous, or get you friends, all that matters is it will help you find purpose.
Remember that the idea of keeping track of our age, pressure to accomplish things by a certain time, etc. are man-made concepts so sometimes it helps not to look at things that way and just live. Another thing that helps me "snap out" is when I read stories about extreme hardships like starving children growing up in poor countries. No I don't feel better from someone else's misfortune, but it helps me look beyond my own tunnel of misery and get back in perspective.
Sorry for rambling on, I'm new to this. But I hope you find some comfort really soon and know we're here :)
