I WAS TOLD BY A FRIEND THAT FOOD LION IS LOSING $30,000 PER WEEK AND THE MANAGER IS TURNING AWAY DELIVERY TRUCKS CAUSE WALMART ACROSS THE STREET IS DOING MORE BUSINESS.
I CALLED FOOD LION 2 CONFIRM THE RUMOR AND SHE ASKED WHAT FOOD LION EMPLOYEE WAS SPREADING THAT RUMOR CAUSE IT IS NOT TRUE.
SHE ASSURED ME FOOD LION IS NOT CLOSING AND THE MANAGER THERE IS NOT TURNING AWAY DELIVERY TRUCKS AND THE STORE IS NOT LOSING $30,000 PER WEEK BECAUSE OF WALMART ACROSS THE STREET.
I DID THE RIGHT THING BY CALLING THE STORE.
I HAVENT EVEN GONE INTO WALMART BECAUSE IT IS TOO BIG 4 ME AND WE GET OUR MEDS AT FOOD LION.
THE FOOD LION PHARMACY IS RIGHT BY THE FRONT DOOR WHICH IS NICE 4 OLD PEOPLE LIKE ME. LOLOLOL

Just my opinion, but I am stickin to it like glue on a paper plate.

Having been a victim of ill intended gossip since long ago, every time I hear some nonsense about something I have no idea why people pay so much attention or, worse, actually believe it. It's always good to keep yourself informed and confirm the truthfulness of things, but sadly people just go with the flow and tend to believe whatever they are presented. Few people actually verify gossip. Most just pass it along. It baffles me.
This kind of nonsense is never going to make me buy or patronize any business any more or any less. I am the consumer and as such I should be the one deciding what/where to buy.
Costco was great when my kids lived at home. But now, do I really need to buy ground beef in the 10 pound slab? Do I really need 6 dozen hamburger buns???
Walmart scares me, ever seen those "shoppers of walmart" links? OK, I'm joking a bit. But walmart can be an odd place to go!
I think your friend is just doing the whole gossiping thing. It's what they call stirring, ignore these people im glad you asked them yourself, it's better to hear it yourself than off other people.
