Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

I have been feeling conflicted with the energy this year. I feel that this year is the pot and its getting close to boiling over.
It is a combination of what's going on everywhere. Everyone is affected and moral is low. I cant remember a holiday ever being so depressing.
Today is the holiday luncheon at work. I wish I could not attend. I hate group gatherings not because of the virus but because I have terrible social anxiety.
My boss asked me to be at work 30 minutes early this morning. Why, I dont know. She made me take my last day off tommorow. I'm trying to be patient considering everything she's going thru in life right now. But, I also feel very bitter about how shes treated me too.
I go home and dont have Roomie to talk to. I feel lonely and isolated. I havent heard anything from the Dr about the insurance company yet. I think it might be better to have my surgury after the first of the year anyway and not associate it with this year. I hope the insurance pays their portion. I need to get thru this day. If I could drink before I went into work this morning I would but know i cant.

each year. For several years we had one for our office and another one
for all offices combined. I had to go to them all. It's not even my holiday
but I was expected to be there anyway. We also had monthly meetings.
I am so very happy to be retired now. My social anxiety is better now but still
here. I am 67.
I’m very sorry you are going through a rough time. I hope things will go well for you. Please stay strong. We are here for you so feel free to post anytime. Praying for you for peace, safe surgery and favor from your health insurance. Keep us posted.
Loving Kindness to you
