Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Well there are plenty candidates here, some are even married with kids, some homeless and some are vulnerable to any sort of attention.
I am all types, depending on what type you are.
I think what you will find most, is that people can be each type depending on the current situations and circumstances in life. It is not a rigid, or set definition of a persons character.
With the case of mental illness especially, in the thick of difficulty many would probably lean more towards anxious, or avoidant, but should their situation change, they could just as easily become secure.
Personally, I lean more towards secure, but had you asked me a year ago, I would have stated anxious. Even further back, I would have considered myself avoidant.
I believe if you can identify with your Attachment type then it gives you a better understanding of why you naturally behave the way you do.
Secure type people rarely suffer depression for any length of meaningful time whereas Avoidant and Anxious types are more prone to.
Ignorance is known to be bliss though.
Simple:
Anxious if I like you. Avoidant or secure if I don't like you or if I simply prefer my own company and could care less whether you hang around or not.
