I work in a small office and the guy I work beside is a liar and an instigator.
I was on holiday when one of our machines broke down....one of managers asked him to do a months end estimated report and he refused saying the end of the month was the 30th not the 29th. When I returned on the 30th I was expected to have the reports ready that day. My co-worker didn't tell them he hadn't entered any information for 3 days. One of the reports was a financial one. After breaking my back over facts and figures I end up with a $1600 shortfall...so with some creative ordering and reordering I eliminated the short fall. Now I just got a call saying there were 2 orders for the same thing but only one was filled so in fact there was no short fall at all. So Im expected now to make $1600 disappear on paper (yes I thought about my bills first too) Im told the report was submitted on the 29th and my co-worker flatly denies it .Im so sick of his self righteous attitude...how he is never wrong regardless of circumstance. Nobody wants to work with him, he is not liked by anyone because of the way he treats others. I have left work early because of him , all I want to do is strangle the puke!!! I have to work with him directly tomorrow and Im not sure I can . Im feeling close to breaking down just thinking about tomorrow

you can also ask your boss to sit down and talk with you (at his convenience of course) and tell him exactly whats going on, face to face... a long personal conversation goes a lot further than screaming matches on the floor or written complaints
and lastly, you could try looking for a new job while you still have this one
ok i guess that wasnt lastly cause i have one more suggestion... get a dart board and imagine his face in the spots you want to hit and poke him in the eye (representitively of course) over and over and over again
or get some clay and make his face and then poke it with the clay working tools

Manager #1 said please do it and estimate. He calls manager#2 and lies to manager #2 who says ok leave it (that's his justification) then manager #1 tells me that she found out he had told manager #2 that I would take care of it and that he didn't want to be responsible. So I get to walk into a cluster fuck after my vacation. I called the general and left a message on his machine (after hours). I am shaking, my anxiety is through the roof. I have taken doubles of my lorazepam and Im not calming down! I don't want to go to work tomorrow I don't want to see his face. I don't do well with confrontation. Why cant I just have 1 thing that's just ok in my life why does it all have to suck?
you cant let this guy have this much power over you and your emotions... this is the way he wins
go into work tomorrow, assuming hes going to be an even bigger jerk face than normal... assume hes going to be munching on toddlers while he works and burning nuns to cook them, or whatever it takes to make him an even bigger jerk face than normal and then when hes not that bad, its easier to take
also, get manager #1 and manager #2 together and have them compaire notes to prove hes lying and trying to do you harm... if that doesnt get him fired, tell them you want a raise just for putting up with him (or maybe not, dont get fired... its just an idea)
