I thought it may help here.
The arc of a diver is natural. Foward force and downward force shape the arc of the dive. Shouldnt love be this easy?

No if love was that easy it would be boring.

Love should be easy yes but it should also be fun, scary, new, happy and sad. Ying and yang type thing.

So a more appropriate analogy would be that love is like swimming in the pool after the dive. The dive itself is the falling in love, the water provides both an aid and a hinderence.
I must get on to Mr Winwood!

I like that analogy, a nice thought to hold onto. Not that i will ever fall in love but still it's nice.

but you know what...love may be different for different people.

and actually, it also depends on what 'phase' of love you are occupying.
