Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

You wrote that "I don't have much going for me except great parents, a great best friend and my kitty." That's a good thing to start with, even if it's not enough, which is understandable.
I can certainly understand your frustrations with your dad. The kind of disposition he has toward the world must make it difficult to be around him, and saying things like that to you isn't an acceptable way to talk to anyone, especially someone close.
What kinds of things do you like to do with your time? Are there hobbies, volunteering, or other pursuits that could help to keep your mind off things? Activities like this might also help with meeting more friends.
I hope that you're feeling better. Please keep us up to date on how you're doing.
I am grateful for my cousin Katie but she can't fill up for every role in my life. Family takes time.. try finding a subject that both you and your parent enjoy talking about.
I am hoping that I can see a normal therapist myself soon rather than just a regular doctor.
Heads up antisocial is different than asocial. I go through periods of being asocial because of my paranoia and then I go through stages where I feel the only issues I have are my eccentricities. Like the way I talk sometimes.
All I can say is first, take one day at a time. My pop was a rageaholic, too. It does sound like you have a sturdy support system. Prayers.
WHEN I M NOT FEELING GOOD, I DONT WANT 2 CALL ANYONE,......................
