Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
If, in reality, the person(s) who are closest to me are really not being supportive, I close off to them and generally the relationship goes by the wayside and I look for people who will give to me as I do when they need me.
I am taking care of my elderly mother when I am having a hard time taking care of myself at the moment and they are making things harder for me when they could be helping more.
I am not sure there is enough information about your situation to really help you that much. Can you share abit more without becoming too vulnerable?

Have you discussed this with them. Have you found a way to tell them effectively what they can do to help both you and your mother?
tell them you need help. you have to remember to take care of you too.maybe you can get a service to come in and help you if your family won't.
