When you begin to fixate or dwell on the unpleasantness, think of all the good things - the things that a growing percentage of the people in this country very much need, and gets a little further out of reach, every day. Give yourself credit for even the little things you do, that help someone, or that improve your mood/ outlook.
Small things add up and make a positive difference.
Figure out things you've always wanted to do -- depression makes it so difficult to get enthused over anything. It takes a lot more energy to make yourself go outside, but nature - some trees, a path to walk down, can noticeably improve your mood.
We all just get the one life. Eating very healthy food and getting outside for exercise can make a huge difference. Some people find therapists helpful and/or prescriptions. All the steps you would take to try to help someone you loved, who was having a hard time dealing with things -- take those steps to help yourself.
It's always better to get yourself into a good frame of mind, be comfortable with your own life, before searching for someone
to share it with.
Sure hope things get better for you soon.
Sending you good thoughts and wishes.
