Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

I feel like I'm the only person left in the world. There's nobody that cares enough about me to see if I'm doing ok. I don't enjoy feeling like I'm not apart of anyone's life I feel so unloved and uncared. I just stare in the mirror and shake my head because I tell myself I don't matter to anyone anymore, I probably never matter to anyone at all.

Have you thought of volunteer work? It would be human contact and a group of other volunteers as regular associates/friends. Soup kitchens, senior centers, veterans hospitals, community hospitals, public schools to name a few places. If you don't belong to a church maybe join one.

I feel the same way right now. I don't feel that way all the time, but I feel that way today for sure. PTSD flashback I guess.

It's my 24/7 feeling like I don't have anyone to open up to or vent to about how I feel

It's a terrible way to feel! Have you tried turning to God? I know it sounds clique, but honestly sometimes being in connection with him is what gets me through. Not easy...church Too! Meet new people, but remember you are someone, you do matter, someday you can stand in your mirror and be happy and feel full of life...

Even if you're not religious, an active church community is just what you need right now. Please try it - they will care for you on a deep level and make you feel connected again. I know how you feel, I've been going through the same thing, and I'm going to take my own advice this week. Sending you much love, you do matter, you are not alone on here x

I'm sorry you feel so alone. I feel that way too most of the time even though I am surrounded by family and friends who love me and want me to get better. I know how hard it can be to reach out when you already feel like the whole world is against you but if you can reach out to a church or a suport group in your area it could help. My son does pastoral counseling which we don't have to pay for and he finds to be helpful. And I know a lot of people talk about music being helpful sometimes.
