Advice please

my husband left five weeks ago. He suffers from Major Depression Disorder. Today he started Cymbalta 30 mg for seven day while they wing him off Zoloft. Then he will increase cymbalta to 60 mg. He has changed so much in last year and half. He tells me he loves me but not the way a husband should love his wife. He just walked away. Doesn't come see kids. For the last 5 to 8 months all he has done is stay on his device. The only friends he has he says are those on his online game. He has started therapy and that is why the med change. I just feel so lost and hopeless in regards to my marriage. Any advice or suggestions.

As hard as it is. Don't let yourself become consumed with the pain. Pray that he finds happiness and know that he has to go through something that is a dark path. You'll never stop loving him. Just be strong and love yourself enough choose to move forward. Your not alone

PhilipA. Thank you so much for the support. I have started Divorce care. It has helped a lot. I just hate weekends and holidays. I do not know what to do with myself.

I'm sorry to read about what you are going through. It is hard to watch a person suffer through depression and feel unable to do anything about it. He only wants to play video games? That may be because it's his escape from the world, like books, or how some people jog. The world may be hard for him so that's why he wants to stay as far away as possible. I have an idea of what may help as a better way to connect. It is just an idea though. You could try to find a video game that you could play with him. You would be able to enter his world and you would have something to talk about. You can try that with everybody. I understand how hard it is to get through the weekends and holidays and I hope that it gets better for you and your family. :)

depressedcakey: I tried that but he has cut me off from the two games we played. He only plays one online game now and I can promise you he would not like it if I played. I am just praying and trying my hardest to let go and let God. But during the mean time I am trying to take care of me now. We talk once a night. I am trying to give him his space while at the same time letting him know that I love him. He has started therapy and I hope that works. Jeramih 29:11 is my go to verse. Nearly everyday God places that verse for me to see and read.
