Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Weird... I can't really relate as I've never moved
But I'll take a wild guess
Something that formed your identity you've lost? Like perhaps you were a teacher or a gym addict and you have lost that role?
I don't know.... Guess you had a load of attachments that got ended with the move??
In which case the pain will pass with time, perhaps get a counsellor or share your feelings over a helpline?
Try ringing all those people you miss??? Regular...
It probably upsets your boyfriend to know his choice to move has upset you do. And he's not man enough to help you process your feelings
For some reason very few people including family will help you digest your feelings
Try going to church they often welcome new people and have socialising events
If things were good back home then that must really sux not to be there... And to have to start over
It's hard work building up long term friendships
Can you travel home regular??? Like parents there or something???
Dbt skills support groups journaling art building a new life in this new area will all help this pain to pass
Ending attachments can send people "crazy" and cause lots of pain
It's understandable that your hurting
Time to take some action to feel better now
Also why not get involved with your kids more?
Don't ignore them while they play, did you know their thoughts and feelings are expressed through play??
Isn't that interesting? Aren't you curious to see what's going on for them
Go get some two way interaction going on
It will feel better being alone with them then
Dance to music together, do some art, play hide and seek
Kids are fun
Don't be bored and lonely in the company of your own kids
However I have experienced attachment loss making connection to kids hard, it's like your not the one getting your needs met I guess so they don't really remove the pain your in???? Dunno
And good impressions and stuff
(I don't know wish they would support you maybe)
Is it far from your home town where your at? Perhaps you could visit often.
Visiting often combined with Facebook, texts and phone calls can help to maintain that feeling of connection.
Can you get a counsellor who you can cry to to release some of the tears with a comforting other?
Tell your partner that if he won't help heal your heart then he should pay for counselling so someone will support you!
Perhaps it will make him more considerate
Perhaps it would make things worse you decide obv
I suggest going to stay with family for a few days to help calm yourself down and then commit to regular visits so your not ending these relationships just seeing them less often...
I know what it's like to have inconsolable tears, my advice is to learn not to think about what's upsetting you. Your trigger
In my case it was a mother figure and the grief was excruciating. Years on if I really think about it I will still trigger inconsolable tears, I've learnt that distraction ends the suffering rapidly
This ability will come with time, I'm not bothered any more and forget 99% of the time and that feels natural and ok and good
Come on now, it will be okay,
Crying all the time although understandable, could be a sign of this condition
Get yourself off to the gp, don't let it snowball xxx
Geez... Last thing you need when your going psychotic is all that mumbojumbo in your head!
Physical reality is all there is, if you start believing in unseen stuff you could enter an altered state of consciousness where you start seeing and thinking all kinds of weird and frightening stuff
You will give away a fortune for seasoned professional to protect you and your imagination will still screw you over
Just don't go there,
((hugs))
Perhaps try saying to your family your missing them and it would be easier to cope with the move if they made a phone call to you every x night apart of their routine.
I'm sure there are some who will do this x
People generally are a bit selfish and absorbed in their lives but you don't need them to pull through, you can do this x
The post partum depression will make it difficult to carry on, I guess sometimes birth is a bit of a trauma for the body and it must just go like that in reaction. Try to get some medication as I think it's a physical thing you know
Not so much about the ole "you got to fight it" thing
If it carries on you might feel worse and less able to function, so get it checked out asap ok ? Xxx
I've got to head to bed now but add me as a friend, we stay in touch yeah x
I am here if you need to talk. Just send me a message.
Question: Do you want to stay there? Or move back?
If what you really want to do is move back...then DO it.
If you want to try to meet people in the new town, then look to getting involved with one thing at a time. If you've got a car, something as simple as picking your kids up from school might help you meet other parents.
One step at a time, hugs, Patti
