I take 10 mgs of Abilify every night. It has helped me with racing thoughts and a bit with depression. I was on lamictal too but got a rash on my face and was taken off of it. Next pdoc is putting me on another anti-depressant...oh joy

Hi, tried abilify and it made me terribly nervous which lead to more depression, for me
my pdr is unreachable and the nurse takes days
in getting back at me, I just couldn't take that feeling, I become real snappy to my kids
and thought HECK WITH THIS I went of, I was probably on for 4-5 days, so little time-no
withdrawl.As they say what works for me, might not work for you.. Good Luck

I take abilify - its my personal miracle cure. Then again I dont simply suffer from major depression but BPD

Doc started me on the lowest dosage. Lasted 3 days, I was so tired I fell out of my chair at work. Not a good thing for me.

I was on Abilify for about a year ... and it helped stabalize my moods. I wasnt experiencing really low lows when I took it. The only side effect I had with this medication was the hiccups ... which is like a very rare side effect ... and it only lasted for a week or so. Other then that I had a great experience with it. Thats my story.

I could no get along decently with Geodon or Abilify....they left me me in a state I could not sleep, and I was gorging food!!

I painted my house on these meds....no peace, no rest, no sleep, ate myself into gaing 10 pounds per month....had to do something with the energy....painted the interior of the house...dug flower borders.....set about a rabbit war to keep my borders pretty!!!!

I could not keep the rabbits from eating my flowers & plants....even took a BB gun to them.

Going off Bi-Polar meds....I delt with it better...planted things they don't want to eat...Stopped gorging food. Could sleep again. No more restless legs syndrome.

Maybe misdiagnosed??? I can't do those meds.

My soon to be ex husband works for Bristol Myers Squibb. They make Abilify. I have heard good things about it.

I've been taking it for about a month now for depression, along w/lexapro. It gives me the hiccups too!! very strange...but it does seem to be working...i'm feeling better. It did take a few days to kick in (at least for me) but it's working now. Hope you're feeling better.
