I just want to take this time and say thank you to Daily Strength and the Daily Strength community. Ever since I found this site a week ago, I've been slowly able to combat the depression and social anxiety I've been having trouble with for the past few months. It really is a tremendous help to have people give their thoughts and advice about these personal struggles. The best part is seeing all the ways in which we can support each other, whether it be with hugs, high fives, personal messages, or just saying that we're there whenever you need. I just hope I've been able to help those who I have replied to. Those going through a difficult time in their life or those who've had a lifelong struggle. I hope everybody feels a little bit better coming to this site for guidance. I know I have, and I owe a great deal of gratitude to those who are a part of this site.

That was an absolute wonderful post that you wrote and I know you are going to hear many thank you's for it. I know I thank you. DS is a wonderful place and has helped so many. We have become like family in this particular Forum and I know where I need to go when I am afraid, angry, sad, hurting, and depressed. And that is most every day! :-). Welcome and I'm glad you have joined us. And the best news is that you are feeling better. A big high five to you and I'll throw in a hug too! (((Hug))))

Hey Flying, I don't know you either, but what a wonderful post! I have been a member of DS since the dinosaur ages and I have recieved so much support and made awesome friends along the way. It really does help to be a part of a community who ' GET IT'......
