Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Tomorrow, I don't always know if there'll be one. For four years I've felt like I'm dead but still breathing, and the pain is just as real as any physical pain. But I'm still here, and even though every day hurts, I have to remind myself that I am surviving for the sake of those I love. They don't all understand my pain, which makes it even harder, but, on here, we understand. So please, talk, talk for as long as you want, because I want to hear. I want to hear about your pain and your struggles and your desire to die and how each day is just so hard. You know why? Because I know what it's like to feel like no one wants to hear you. That is pure torture. Feeling awful and then feeling alone and uncared for in the midst of it. But you are NOT alone or uncared for, we all care about you.
Also, like what kinnA said, my faith in Jesus really has been what has carried me through this far, but I understand how hard all this is. Yeah, it feels like the world is falling apart. My world has gone through the same thing. But you are unique and you can impact the world in a way nobody else can, because there's only one you. May sound cheesy, but it's so, so true, and losing you would be such an awful tragedy. You have so much potential. You are strong; you can do this. We can do this together.
