Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
You are not alone. Let's hang in there. Maybe it will get better! Susu
I feel tired all day. No matter how long I slept. My sleep is full of icky dreams and pain. I awake feeling hungover. My body hurts always. My back my legs...all. My legs feel weak. I feel weak. Trouble breathing and it hurts my chest when I breath. Panic attacks...chest pains.
BobCJ : how do "we all get better "? I am holding my breath hoping that this is true.
I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia ....achy all over. I was taking Lyrica. Stopped for awhile as it seemed to give me suicide thoughts. (One of the side effects?) But I may begin again....At least it helped some.
Plus I have a pelvic problem due to damage from years ago....the Lyrica helped that pain...it blocks the never receptors.
I need someone big & squishy like my to cuddle with and warm my whole body. Warm makes the pain better.
without clothes. Not even just my shirt.
I am fat...245 lbs...and only 5'2".
I have scars - skin problems /cancer - folds that could hide a great Dane....
I 've yet to find a med that really helps.
It's very helpful with kidney pain but I also rotate it for my upper back, shoulders and neck. That is were I carry most of my tension.
Kodasmama, find a blind massage therapist or ask them to wear a blindfold. Problem solved. You are by no means the first person to have that taboo.
In ancient times, blinded warriors were often brought to the master's palace and trained in massage so that the ladies of the palace could be attended upon, but not seen. Weird philosophy by my lights, but to each his own, eh?
CypessMoon, according to my Psychiatrist and my therapist, physical moderate activity releases beneficial endorphins.
BTW, Petting an animal releases endorphins to the petter and the pettee. I like your ferocious puppy, in your avatar.
We can heal ourselves physically if we get the mental part right.
Hope you feel better soon.
