Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
9. Like a lot of people, I feel good when things are going well, and down when they are not. However, recognize that you don't always get prompt or immediate feedback. I was having some financial struggles, worked hard, came up with ideas, but nothing happened. Ultimately the things I worked hard on it did help but it took a while.
10. If you can deal with it, get feedback and try to improve using suggestions from brighter people than you. For men particularly, we don't like asking for help but sometimes you need to acknowledge problems and ask for other's help working for solutions.
(please don't take my numbering as arrogance or telling people what to do. I am a little ADD and it helps to organize my thoughts).
11. You like family and friends but try not to require them to validate you.
