Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I'm so sorry you are hurting so much.. I don't know what has happened this week, but I'm sorry your spirit is broken and you feel like a failure.
I DO believe that that things can get better. Tomorrow is a new day and no matter what happened last week or last year or even yesterday.. it's gone . Don't look back. Move forward. small steps.. okay?

Me.
What made you say this about yourself?
It's clear from your choice of a picture and avatar name (I like Futurama too) that you have a good sense of humor. That's a great trait to build on.
I hope you'll keep active on this thread and let us know how you're doing.
Having attempted as many times as I have and having spent as much time in Psych wards as I have I've learned that there are other ways to fix things besides swallowing those pills.
Finding a good Therapist to work with is a almost a must if your not there already. There is a Therapy Class called DBT and it helps you learn many great coping skills to do when you get upset, depressed, and at the end; skills that teach you what to do instead of taking the pills. Believe me there are ways to do this so that you get help and learn skills to use to keep yourself safe, and its outpatient. I'm sure the loved ones in your family want you around for as long as they can have you.
Let me know if you want to talk more, or would like more info. about DBT.
Take care,
OCP
