I just don't know what to do. I lost my grandma at the end of June and then my dog a few weeks later. Those few weeks were the hardest weeks of my life, but after a while I started to feel better. I even got a job at a popular clothing store where I live. Everything was going great until a few days ago. I was being trained on the cash register by the biggest, and excuse my language, bitch I have ever met in my life. She would slap my hands like I was a toddler when I'd mess up, she would yell at me and belittle in front of customers, and tell me I wasn't moving fast enough. Now, I've worked with plenty of bad people before. I am absolutely aware of the fact that you can not avoid people like her, no matter where you go. This situation and this woman would not bother me so much if there weren't a history between this woman and my mom. When I was a baby, this woman lived across the street from my mom ans she and my mother had similar lives. They both had the same number of children and were struggling single parents. I knew exactly who she was the second I saw her and I didn't want to work with her. The reason why I didn't want to work with her is because she had an affair with my father while he was still married to my mom. She even had my dad steal parts from my mom's car and put them in her car. My mom would have to walk through rain, sleet, and snow with four kids because of that woman and my dad. They will probably never know how bad it was for us and especially for my mom. She doesn't trust anyone, she never remarried, and the few times she did date she compared them so much to my father that the relationships always ended. Now, this woman has the nerve to treat me horrible?! She knows who I am. She knows who's daughter I am. I can't stand her. I really can't. Since getting this job, I've been happy. I love the work, but there is no way I can work with her. I can't even stand looking at her. My depression was getting so much better, but since I've been working with her I've been crying again, almost everyday. After everything I've been through I don't feel that it's good for my recovery to continue to work with her. The more I see her, more anger that builds up in me. If I had no history with this woman, it wouldn't bother me at all to work with her. However, seeing and remembering how my mom suffered because of her and other women like her, I just can't do it. Should I quit? I don't want to be in the mental state I am now. I have worked so hard to be happy, but now I'm just miserable again. I just feel this job isn't worth it, and honestly I would much rather work as an occupational therapy assistant. So I do plan on going back to school, but I can't do the job and the school at the same time. What do I do? If you were in my position, what would you do?
